Japan needs our help
Japan was my home for 10 years and the recent events are heartbreaking.
I am no expert on donating to non-profits, but I believe that one of the best ways to contribute is to donate directly to the Red Cross Japan (as opposed to the Red Cross in the US or other countries). Google has enabled direct donations to the Japanese Red Cross Society through a special site they have set up. You simply enter the amount in yen that you would like to donate, and your credit card is charged in your local currency using the appropriate exchange rate.
I am not suggesting that your country’s local Red Cross is not a good solution, but I believe that the money would be used more quickly and efficiently when giving directly to Japan.
Thank you for you.

How much does it pay?
Robert Forbes wrote back in May 2009:
The attached sign is currently on the window of the Magic Pudding pie shop in Glebe, an inner suburb of Sydney Australia. It is just near the corner of Glebe Point Rd and Pyrmont Bridge Road in Glebe. I know because I just took the photo!

You trash and you’re trash!

This sign was found at a little Asian (not sure of the nationality) crepe place in West Los Angeles. The guy who owns it is nuts (obviously).
