I just received this photo of a hilarious entry in an English textbook from South Korea about Shaquille O’Neal. I wonder if Shaq ever approved this?

Shaquille O’Neal was born in 1972. His father was a soldier. So Shaquille moved house a lot. He was always a new kid in a new place. Shaquille’s new friends said to him, “Your name is very funny. And you’re too big!” Shaquille was not happy. He thought, “I don’t like my funny name. And why am I so big? I don’t like it.” He talked to his parents. They said to him, “Be happy. Big people can do many things.”
Now Shaquille is a basketball player. His name is very famous. And he’s happy now.

Last in the series from the viral email “I don’t care how good the food is, I wont eat here!”.  Admittedly they aren’t all hilarious, but I wanted to share the email in its entirety.

This last pic is debatable. It has been going around since 1997, but I was told by more than one person that the sign was Photoshopped and that the original name was “Fu Kim” restaurant. It was often sent in it’s own viral email with the caption “How do they answer the phone?”.

I’ve always meant to put up more of these viral email photos up here on the blog - now I have two of them out of the way in the past two weeks.

It is good to archive and catalog these pics here - viral emails don’t go around forever…

I am still on a business trip in Japan this week, so this week’s theme at the brog will be from another viral email that has been going around lately entitled: “I don’t care how good the food is, I’m not eating here!”. Some of these pics have been around for a long time, some are questionable and some may have been photoshopped - I cannot vouch for their authenticity. They are probably all public domain by now…
