Chinese Communist Propaganda Signs

These signs are interesting because you don’t really see this side of China as much anymore:
I wonder whatever happened to those lofty Proletarian ideals?
I wonder what the average Chinese person of today thinks when he/she reads these older signs…

Look at the size of the bottom one, you have to take a march to read the entire damn thing!
Reply to the bottom sign:
“That road only took us to Misery, and the new road only takes us to Misery’s suburbs.”
It’s not the most clever thing, I know, but…
I think the Chinese moved towards capitalism because although they marched along the road to socialism, they just couldn’t get any Chinese characteristics to march beside them!
Where are the ‘Mass produce cheap crap for Wal-Mart using characteristic prison labor. ‘ signs?
Huh. I had a vague idea that there were still a lot of these around, just that most didn’t have an English translation on them like these examples. Maybe I’m wrong. These are very interesting to read though.
These seem to be quoted (translations vary) from the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China.
The weirdest thing is that these signs are written in _Japanese_ characters, not Chinese (notice the unsimplified 階級 and 中國, but the simplified 社会).
